REEsolutionship. How’s that for a new word?!!!
To the entrepreneur…REEsolutionship is the connection between “hope and happening”! I have preached for some time that “hope is not a strategy”. It has been the very foundation of what I believe is the cornerstone for everything entrepreneurial.
So…every 365 days in the western world we celebrate a holiday where everyone gets a “do over.” Every one has the opportunity to right a wrong…set a new course…learn from the past but focus on the future…a NEW year so to speak. Those that choose to participate simply become REEesolute in the accomplishment of certain goals. Most popular are items like weight loss…start to exercise…and eating an improved diet. As most have experienced…these sort of REEsolutions are often short-lived. Why is that? Well…here is my opinion…”REEsolutions are easy to set…easy to quit…and everything in the middle requires commitment”. Few ever are committed…just involved. Like a bacon and egg breakfast…the chicken is involved and the pig is committed.
Entrepreneurs cannot afford to just be “involved”. Entrepreneurial passion requires commitment! A commitment to the REEsolution. Know that REEsolutionship is the act and process of entrepreneurial commitment.
REEsolutionship is not always evident. Mostly…it runs just below the surface of conscious reality. It is the confidence when naysayers hammer your passion. It is the stoic presence of belief in your desired outcome when critics unleash their fearful tirades. It is knowing that you have the ability to succeed…and are willing to take action…when the chips are down.
Beginning today…this is your NEW year. This is the year you finally understand…and REEthink your entrepreneurial REEsolutionship!
